Jim Brown of Centreville not only won for the first fish checked in (1:20p), his 44-incher caught near Breezy Point held up to win the first place. He took the striper on an umbrella rig with parachute and Sassy Shad added at 9:15a.
Second was Glenn Bogarde of Annapolis with a fish of 43 3/4 inches; third, Mike Finkel, 43 1/4 inches; fourth was Dennis Miles of Stevensville, a fish 42 1/2 inches caught on a white umbrella rig near Bloody Point. Fifth was Freddy Potts of Pasadena who also used an umbrella rig off the LNG plant. Youth winner was Michael Vito of Lothian whose 37-incher was taken on a parachute off Solomons.
